What is a fanlisting?

"A fanlisting is a place for all fans of a particular show, movie, actor, actress, singer, etc. to come together and build the biggest listing of people from all around the world who are fans of that subject. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country."

To show your love for the subject, you can put a small link button on your website (if you have one). Remember to read the rules before you join! You can find more info about fanlistings on TheFanlistings.org.

The Dangerous Fanlisting was opened on August 30th, 2003. It's obviously for all the fans of Michael Jackson's brilliant album Dangerous. :) Feel free to join us! The navigation can be found above.

Dangerous

The album cover

Michael Jackson's Dangerous album was released on November 22nd in 1992 and it has sold over 32 million copies worldwide. The album contains 14 tracks and nine of them were released as singles.

Huge hit "Black Or White" went straight to number one on the Billboard Pop chart in the United States. The album was re-released as a digitally remastered special edition in 2001.

Jackson was awarded a new record breaking $890 million contract by Sony in March, 1991, and released his first album under the new contract, Dangerous, that November. Beginning with this album, Jackson ended his association with Quincy Jones, and enlisted new producers such as new jack swing inventor Teddy Riley for his records.

While in the United States, sales for the album reached seven million, internationally Dangerous eclipsed Bad as the second best-selling album of Jackson's career, selling over 32 million albums.

The major hits included "Black Or White", "Remember The Time", "In The Closet", "Heal The World", "Who Is It", "Give In To Me" and "Will You Be There".

As was becoming the standard for Jackson, the album's music videos were among the most costly and innovative of their time. Several of the music videos taken from the Dangerous album had complex storylines and dance sequences, and featured cameo appearances by celebrities.

The video for "Jam", directed by David Kellogg, showed Jackson and Michael Jordan playing basketball and dancing together, while "Remember The Time" was set in an ancient Egyptian palace, and starred Eddie Murphy and Iman (top model) as the pharaoh and his queen. Also, it featured a cameo by basketball player Magic Johnson. "In The Closet" featured Jackson and model Naomi Campbell as lovers. The director of the video was photographer Herb Ritts, who also photographed Jackson in a series of promotional shots for the release of the Dangerous album.
