What is great about Dead Man?

Dead Man is my second favourite film ever, to me it's just perfect. It's so beautiful, compelling, absurd, eerie, moving, funny, daring, deeply spiritual. The stylized black-and-white cinematography gives the western a wonderful mystical feel, which is complimented by the usage of William Blake's enigmatic poetry.

In addition, the movie combines Jim Jarmusch's distinctive sense of rhythm with poetic symbolism. There's nothing obvious about Dead Man, the film itself is like a poem or a mystery waiting to be solved. Also, Neil Young's incredibly haunting score is the final icing on the cake.
